Using Pinterest for Marketing to Women

If you haven't heard of the social media site Pinterest, you might be in the minority. This platform came onto the scene slowly, placing potential users on a waiting list for invitations. In September, the site had 1.6 million unique views, but this number jumped to over 7 million by December.

Pinterest provides users or pinners with a virtual bulletin board where images of just about everything imaginable can be organized in any ways that make sense to you. Here's a recent Entrepreneur article about how it's becoming the next big thing in social media. Brands should care about Pinterest because of the momentum it has gained in connecting consumers with products.

Re-pinning (like retweeting or sharing on Facebook) is a way your images can, in a sense, go viral. We've just started using Pinterest here at FletcherPR (here's a link to the FletcherPR Pinterest boards) and we'd love to connect with you!
