Did you know that approximately 9,000 babies per day are born to U.S. Millennial parents? It’s no wonder marketers are dying to capture her projected $200 billion in spending power, according to babycenter.com. Here are a few pointers to help get you started on your journey to reaching her. She can be a tough nut to crack.

1. YouTube is the search engine of choice.

When surveyed, 24% of Millennial Moms said they watch videos daily and 55% watch online videos multiple times each week. If your brand hasn’t invested in video on your website, blog and social media channels you’re already behind the curve when it comes to marketing to Millennial Moms. (Book Source: Bailey, Marcia, T. 2. No more “Mom” labels.

Millennial Moms don’t want to be distinguished by labels like “working mom,” “stay-at-home-mom,” or “work-outside-the-home mom.”  Marketers who segment this way lose respect. Millennial Moms consider themselves “working moms” on some level.

3. She loves coupons!

Maybe it has something to do with the rising mounds of student loan debt, but 9 out of 10 Millennial Moms report using coupons, according to the 2017 Valassis Couponing Intelligence Report. Mobile coupon sites like Retail Me Not and Groupon make it easier than ever to save money on the run.

4. Gender-reveal parties are all the rage.

A friend of mine attended a gender reveal party for her step-daughter recently and I was intrigued. It’s not unusual for only the party planner or host to know the sex of the baby – even before the couple finds out at their gender reveal party. Say, what?
