The internet can be a cruel place where people hide behind a screen and say whatever they want without regard to others. There is a name for these kinds of people--trolls. They search for anyone to destroy or any company to defame. Recently, Maxipad was the center of a recent attack by a man named Richard Neill. He felt compelled to bash Maxipad Bodyform on the brand’s Facebook page for its “unrealistic nature of traditional feminine product advertisements”.
By now, you’ve probably read about how people are or aren’t properly marketing to women and how women are controlling the majority of the purchasing decisions. And if you didn’t know- women currently control 85% of the purchasing market in the United States. We hold these facts close to our hearts because we want to inspire women and help every woman reach her fullest potential. That said, we could all use a little refresher from time to time, so we have come up with three key points when marketing to women.
It’s no secret that the men make up the majority of executive positions. To be more specific, only 4 percent of Fortune 500 companies have female CEOs. This number is far less than acceptable, but we must make these changes ourselves and lead by example, similar to what Gatorade is doing.

In addition, the written journalism industry’s future is very uncertain thanks to the rise in popularity of online news sources like CNN, Facebook and Twitter. These days we don’t have to wait more than five seconds for breaking news, and guess what? It’s free.
